WAS CALLED SUDDENLY.
George BOUGHNER Died Saturday Evening at His Home Here.

George BOUGHNER died suddenly at his home on West Washington street Saturday evening about 9:30 o'clock. He had been a sufferer of heart trouble for years and had been ill since about Xmas (sic - Christmas) but was thought to be improving.

Saturday he was up and around the house, read his daily papers as usual and retired about nine o'clock. In a few minutes he complained of a pain in his side and got up and was assisted to a chair near the bed. Immediately after sitting down he passed away. A physician was hastily summoned but could render no aid.

The deceased was born in Canada August 4, 1834, and came to Iowa when a young man. He resided in Lee county until about twenty-five years ago.

He was united in marriage to Mrs Johanna DEARNIN (sic - DEARMIN) in Burlington some thirty years ago (note: in 1879). The wife with one son, Samuel, is left to mourn the departed.

The funeral will occur Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence. Hosts of friends will sympathize with the bereaved ones in the hour of sorrow.
