Henry BETTENDORF, age about 68 years, died yesterday at Oakdale, Neb., and the body will be brought to this city tomorrow afternoon over the Burlington railroad at 4:28 and will be taken to the Hoskins funeral home, pending funeral arrangements.
Mr. BETTENDORF is a former resident of this county, living on a farm northwest of this city. He left here about 18 or 20 years ago. His wife preceded him in death several years ago. He is survived by four children and two brothers and two sisters. His brother, George BETTENDORF of Clarion, arrived here last night, called by his death. A brother, John BETTENDORF, who used to live here, died a year ago at Davenport.

Rites for Henry BETTENDORF.
Funeral services for Henry BETTENDORF, who died last Wednesday at Oakdale, Neb., were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church, in charge of Rev. E. F. Gaule. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. BETTENDORF is a former resident of Jefferson county and for a number of years resided on a farm northwest of this city. The funeral party arrived in this city early yesterday morning over the Burlington railroad.
Those attending from a distance were: John and Steve BETTENDORF, sons of the deceased; Mr. and Mrs. J. H. BETTENDORF of Davenport, Ia.; Mrs. Charles Hart and Mrs. R. C. Dillig of Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Paull of Council Bluffs, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Paull and George BETTENDORF of Clarion, Iowa, also Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Koos of Davenport.
