Marjorie BENN

Marjorie J. BENN, 63, of 805 W. Broadway St., Fairfield, died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 1991, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Born April 13, 1927, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Fred and Carrie VanDYKE MANLEY. She married Maurice BENN on March 31, 1945, in Muscatine.

She had lived all of her life in Jefferson County. She had been a nurses aide at Parsons College, Jefferson County Hospital and Nelson Nursing Home. She was a member of the first Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Linda HOURIHAN and Mary REIGHARD, both of Mount Pleasant, Margaret STEPHENS, Healy, Alaska, and Patricia CAMPBELL, Ames; one half-sister, Ruth Ann STEVENS, Beloit, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The service for Mrs. BENN will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating,. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Fairfield.
