Funeral of 15 Year Old Girl Will Be Held Saturday Morning at 10 OclockLenora BANJAY, 15 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest BANJAY passed away this morning at 1:20 oclock at her home on East Monroe street. She has been ill since March 17 when she underwent an operation for removal of tonslis (sic - tonsils).
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 oclock from the Butler Funeral Home in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Lenora BANJAY was born February 2, 1912 in New Boston, Ill. She was a Freshman in High school at the time of her death. Besides her father and mother, the latter who is a patient at Oakdale sanitarium since January 17, survive her, besides the following brothers and sister, Halen 17, Ernest Junior 15, Leota 9 and Joe 4.

Dr. Voorhies In Charge Of Services; Interment At Evergreen Cemtery.Funeral services for Lenora BANJAY who passed away Thursday morning at her home on East Monroe street were held this morning at 11 oclock from the Butler funeral parlors in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies. The following songs were sung by Mrs. Arthur Greef, Mrs. William Parkins and Mrs. Gilbert Voorhies, "Under His Wing", and "Shall We Gather At The River?" The following school mates of Lenora served as pall bearers, Beulah Burnett, Aldena Knauss, Florene Simmons, Mildred Simmons, Jessie Brown and Iva West. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.

LENORA BANJAY
Lenora Belle BANJAY, second daughter of Ernest R. and Flora Belle BANJAY was born at New Boston, Illinois, February 3, 1912, and departed this life at her home at 203 East Monroe street, Fairfield, Iowa April 14, 1927. Being at the time of her death aged 15 years 2 months and 12 days. She was at the time of her decease, a member of the Freshman class of the F. H. S.
She leaves to mourn her death, her father and mother and the following brothers and sisters Helen 17, Ernest 13, Leota 9 and Joe 4. Besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
Lenora has always been of a kind and loving disposition and kindly deeds have won for her a place in many hearts.
About four years ago Lenora gave her heart to Jesus at the New Chicago Mission and on Wednesday the day before her death, she was baptized at her home by Dr. Gilbert Voorhies and received into the Presbyterian church.
Her passing was rendered especially sad by the fact that her mother, who has been a patient in Oakdale since January 17, 1927 and could not be with her during her last sickness and was not able to attend the funeral.
She believed in the power of Christ to forgive sins and died in the hope of a blessed immortality with Him and all her loved ones gone before.
