Mrs. BAKER Dies At Des Moines

Last rites are planned here Thursday for Mrs. Fred BAKER, 43, former Fairfield resident who died Monday night at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA) after a serious illness of two months.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. D. O. Van Dyne. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. BAKER resided at 1420 12th St. in Des Moines. The former Darlene HOWE, she was born April 3, 1923 at Tipton, the daughter of Earl and Esther GRIFFIS HOWE. She was married to Fred L. BAKER Oct. 31, 1938.

Besides her husband, Mrs. BAKER is survived by the following children: Mrs. Paul SMITH of 907 W. Grimes; Mrs. Roger FRAKES, Albia; Mrs. Clifford JONES, Osceola; Margo BAKER, Florida; James BAKER of Fairfield; Jonathan of Osceola; seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Dale KINNEY of Eldon.

She was preceded in death by a brother and her parents.
