Mrs. Catharine GREGG BAKER died Friday, the 24th inst. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon GREGG, was born in Delphi, Carroll county, Ind., October 25th, 1843, and came to Jefferson county with her parents in 1852, the family making its home near Glasgow for a number of years. She was married to N. H. BAKER in Round Prairie township September 13th, 1866. To this union seven children were born, four of whom survive her--Mrs. M. J. CUDDY, Jessie J., F. G. and W. R. BAKER all of this city. Three brothers and a sister, Albert and George GREGG and Mrs. Martha WRIGHT of Belleville, Kan., and J. M. GREGG of this city are also left to mourn her death. Mrs. BAKER united with the M. E. church several years ago, and remained a member of that congregation until her death.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. H. CUDDY, Tuesday afternoon, by Rev. Thos. Osborn. There are many friends of the members of this family who will extend sincere sympathy.
