MISS PEARL AUGUST DIED LAST NIGHT

Many friends were greatly shocked last night to learn that the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert AUGUST on East Jefferson street had been visited by the Death Angel who called the oldest daughter of the household, Miss Pearl Grace at 8:30 o'clock. Miss AUGUST had been in a serious condition for several days and her death was not unexpected.

Pearl Grace AUGUST was born in Fairfield October 18, 1897 and had spent her entire life here. During the past few years she had been of untold assistance to her parents, both of whom are deaf and dumb, and they had come to depend upon her a great deal in the transaction of business matters.

Miss AUGUST had been ill only a few days of diphtheria and her death is a great shock to her parents. She is survived by three brothers Earl, Waldo and Clayton and one sister, Rachael.

A short funeral service was held this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at Evergreen cemetery and was conducted by Rev. W. W. Montgomery of the First Presbyterian church.
