PHYLLIS LEE ALTMAN HALL
Temple City, Calif.

Phyllis Lee ALTMAN HALL passed away peacefully with her granddaughter, Amy, by her side on March 8, 2020. She was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Packwood, Iowa, to Letha and Z. Vane ALTMAN. Phyllis was the youngest of three children. She attended Parsons College, where she met her husband Billy Hunter HALL. They married Sept. 12, 1948, and had three children: Deborah Kay, Gary Hunter and Randy Alan. The HALLs moved to Southern California in 1951, where they created a beautiful life in Temple City. Their home was open to all neighborhood kids and families. They were each very involved in activities and organizations benefiting children. Phyllis was a Sierra Madre Girl Scout leader for many years.

She is survived by all three of her children; daughter-in-law, Charlene HALL; her two granddaughters, Amy Lynn ESQUIBEL and Amanda Brooke HALL; grandson-in-law, Paul ESQUIBEL; and four great-grandchildren, McKenna Lynn, Hunter Nicholas and Sinjin Bryce, children of Amy and Paul, and Maliah Brooke, daughter of Amanda.

Her love, spunk, and sharp mind are already missed by her family.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Rose Hills and is limited to immediate family only. This may change due to Public Health orders mandated by the County of Los Angeles. A Celebration Luau will be held for all family and friends at a later date this year.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to: the American Heart Association or your local Girl Scout Council.
