Russell ALLISON Rites Pending

Russell ALLISON, 56, Fairfield businessman, died today at 8:20 a.m. at the Ottumwa Hospital in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

He had been in serious condition the past four weeks following surgery. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home where last rites are pending.

ALLISON had been associated with the DX Oil company for 20 years, the past 15 as bulk agent. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, VFW and Legion. The family home is located at 805 S. Fifth.

Russell ALLISON was born Feb. 5, 1914, at Northwood, Iowa, the son of Richard and Lydia STUNKARD ALLISON. He was married to Maycel BLOUGH Oct. 8, 1960, who survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. I. R. ALLISON, Brighton; two sisters, Mrs. Margurite DEUTSCH, and Mrs. Helen LYNN, both of Brighton; two brothers, Merle ALLISON, Washington, and Richard ALLISON, serving with the U.S. Air Force in Spain.

He was preceded in death by his father.

ALLISON Funeral Will Be Monday

Last rites for Russell ALLISON, Fairfield businessman, will be held at the Behner Funeral Home Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

ALLISON passed away Friday at the Ottumwa Hospital following surgery four weeks ago. He had been associated with the DX Oil Company for the past 20 years.

Note: Ivan Russell was married twice; his first wife was Ardith E. CHACEY who died in 1960. Maycel was his second wife. Russell (as on his gravestone) is buried with Ardith, and they share a gravestone; Maycel is in the same lot but has an individual stone. Burial for all three was in Lot 3rd.091.
