ZoPhlier (sic) ADAMS Dead.

Zoplier ADAMS passed away last night at his home on North Main street after a lingering illness of consumption. One son and two daughters, together with the wife, survive the deceased.

He was a member in good standing of Fairfield Lodge. No. 289 A. O. U. W. in which order he carried $1,000 life insurance. His dues and assessments have been paid by the local lodge for the past two years during his illness. In a few days his bereaved wife will receive the amount of his policy.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 4:30 from the home. Rev. Thomas Osborn and Fairfield Lodge No. 289 A. O. U. W. will probably have charge of the funeral.

Mr. Z. ADAMS, who has been suffering with consumption for the past two years, died at his home on North Main St. Wednesday night. He is survived by a wife, one son and two daughters. Funeral services at the house at 4:30 today, conducted by Rev. Osborn.

Zophor (sic) Hamilton ADAMS.

Zophor Hamilton ADAMS was born in New York in 1863. His parents came to Iowa and settled in Fairfield in 1867. In 1885 he was married to Lillie COX. A family of ten children was born to them, eight of them living. Their home was in Mt. Pleasant from '85 until '94, when they returned to Fairfield, where they have since resided.

Deceased had been in poor health for several years and died at his home in this city, March 13, at 7 o'clock p.m. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Thos. Osborn.

On behalf of myself and children I wish to thank the friends and neighbors who were so kind to myself and family during the illness and death of my husband, Zopher ADAMS. I wish especially to thank the members of Fairfield Lodge No. 289 A. O. U. W. for their many kind acts during my hours of sorrow. Also to gratefully acknowledge receipt of a draft for $1000, which was handed me by the officials of this lodge yesterday, only six days after my husbands death.
