Mrs. Kizzie ABRAHAM, wife of John C. ABRAHAM, died in this city on Wednesday last after a lingering illness of 10 months' duration. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John WORKMAN, living northeast of this city, and the greater portion of her life had been spent in this county. Mrs. ABRAHAM was in the 39th year of her age, and she leaves three children--two sons and a daughter. She was a most estimable woman, and a wide circle of friends in both the city and country will mourn her loss and sympathize with the family in their bereament (sic). The funeral occurred Thursday from the Methodist church, Rev. D. C. Smith conducting the services. The remains were interred in the Evergreen cemetery.

Death of Mrs. ABRAHAM.--Death has taken one of our brightest and best sisters, Mrs. Kizzie ABRAHAM, wife of John ABRAHAM, and daughter of John and Delilah WORKMAN, She died at her home in Fairfield, May 3, after an illness of about ten months.

Mrs. ABRAHAM was born in Jefferson county, July 1, 1849. When but a child she united with the M. E. Church, of which she has been a true and faithful member up to the time of her death, always ready and willing to do what her hands could find to do. Those who knew her only knew her to love her. She was ready and willing to go when her Master called her. She will be missed in the church and in the Sunday school, for she was always there when her health permitted. But most of all will she be missed in the home circle. How often the heart will go out for a mother's care! She leaves a husband and three children--two sons and a daughter--besides a brother's child that was left her, and which she cared for most tenderly.

The funeral exercises were held at the M. E. Church in Fairfield and were conducted by Rev. Smith, the pastor. Her remains were taken to the Evergreen cemetery for burial.

We shall sleep, but not forever,
There will be a glorious dawn;
We shall meet to part, no never,
On the resurrection morn.

A FRIEND.
