Obituary.

Glen Layverne, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. WATSON, of Cedar Township, died Tuesday evening, after an illness of ten days from typhoid fever. Every means was employed to save the life of little Glen, but all in vain, and his spirit took its flight to mansions above. He was two years, eight months and twenty-two days of age, the pride and joy of the household.

Funeral services were held at the home Thursday morning, July 7th, conducted by Rev. G. B. Phillips. Interment was made in the Wright cemetery.

The funeral cortege was large, made up with friends and relatives, anxious to show their sympathy for the bereaved family.

"Dear little hands, when the Master shall call.
I'll answer the summons that comes to us all.
When my feet touch the waters so dark and cold,
And I catch the first glimpse of the city of gold,
If I keep my eye fixed on the Heavenly gate,
Over the tide where the white robed ones wait,
Shall I know you dear Glen among the bright bands,
Will they welcome me over, oh, dear little hands?"
