FairfieldNorma Jean DAVISSON, 87, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winfield, Iowa (note: in Henry Co., IA).
Visitation for family and friends will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Behner Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff McPheron officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sunrise Activity Fund. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Dixie KLOPFENSTEIN, 27368 Louisa Henry St., Winfield, IA 52659.
Norma was born in Davis County, Iowa, to Rudolph and Della DALBEY OSING. She was united in marriage to Verle A. DAVISSON on April 3, 1955, in Eldon, Iowa. In 2019, they would have celebrated 64 years of marriage before he passed away on March 30, 2019.
She and Verle spent 14 years wintering in San Juan, Texas, staying at Hoopy's RV Camp ground. Norma and Verle moved to Winfield five years ago to be closer to their daughter Dixie and her family.
Norma enjoyed camping at Hoopy's, her and Verle (sic) camped at Midwest Old Threshers for at least thirty years. She enjoyed King of the Road Camp Club, watching birds, squirrels and wildlife. Norma belonged to BLB Quilt Club. She was an avid game player, be it with family, friends or on the computer. She also enjoyed playing pool, watching basketball, RFD and History Channel along with game shows and "Days of Our Lives."
She will be missed by her daughter, Dixie (Steve) KLOPFENSTEIN of Winfield; three grandsons, Kenton of Winfield, Vince (Ashley) of Marion and Derek of Des Moines; two great-grandchildren, Casen and Jay KLOPFENSTEIN; two sisters, Phyllis WAUGH of White City, Kan., and Ilene OSING of Ottumwa; many nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Verle; and sister, Louise BLADE.
