Page 8, Column 8Funeral To Be Sunday For Mrs. HECKETHORN
Last rites for Mrs. Henry HECKETHORN, wife of a well known Jefferson county farmer, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home. Burial will be in Wright cemetery southeast of Fairfield. The Rev. S. P. Williamson will be in charge.
Mrs. HECKETHORN passed away at 12:15 a.m. Friday at the Curry nursing home in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA). She had been in failing health for the past 13 years.
The body will remain at the Community funeral home in Ottumwa until Sunday morning when it will be brought to the Behner funeral home in Fairfield.
Blanche Dell HECKETHORN, 69, was the daughter of the late Jeramiah and Mary Jane SIMMONS. She was born in Rock Island county, Ill. (note: on Feb. 2, 1886).
She was united in marriage to Henry HECKETHORN on July 13, 1903, and they lived all their married life in Jefferson and Wapello counties.
Besides her husband Mrs. HECKETHORN is survived by four sons, Mervin and Vern, both of Fairfield; Raymond and Harold, both of Ottumwa; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy WREN, Perry, Ia.; 26 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Bertha B. BELL, Monterey, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Margaret SWANKE, Cut Bank, Mont.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl, and five sisters and two brothers.
