Page 3, Column 5Killed by a Runaway.-- Richard ANKROM, residing in Cedar township, about five miles from Fairfield, was killed on Thursday last by the runningaway of a team. He was in a field gathering corn. The mules becoming frightened started to run, and ANKROM attempted to jump into the back part of the wagon. Instead of jumping into the wagon, he alighted on the end gate in such a way as to cause serious internal injury, and died almost instantly, living only a few minutes. He was a young married man, well known in this community.
