ROY EUGENE ANDERSON
Brighton

Roy Eugene ANDERSON, 75, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at his home.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Behner Funeral Home with words of comfort by Dan Anderson. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 10 to 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Indian School Parks of Salina Independent Presbyterian Church. Cards may be mailed to Ranee FLADUNG, 1555 180th St., Wellman, IA 52356.

Roy was born Sept. 20, 1944, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, to Merlyn Dwight and Emma Kay (SMITH) ANDERSON.

Roy graduated Fairfield High School, Class of 1962. He lived in the Brighton area and farmed all his life. Roy was also a sales rep for Archer Oil. He would go to farm and livestock auctions so he could visit with other farmers. Roy volunteered to drive the Amish. Some of Roy's interests were collecting toy tractors, watching old Westerns and was a lifelong Iowa Hawkeye fan. He was a member of Salina Independent Presbyterian Church and Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen ANDERSON of Brighton, Iowa, Richard (Kim) ANDERSON of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Robert ANDERSON of Brighton, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Ranee (Alan) FLADUNG, Kaleen HIRD, Alisha HIRD, Erin ANDERSON and Kristin ANDERSON; one great-niece, Amelia FLADUNG; and one great-nephew, David FLADUNG.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Merlyn and Emma; brother, Roger; and sisters, Elaine ANDERSON and Phyllis HIRD.
