BETTY E. LUZADDER

Betty E. LUZADDER, 72, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Friedrich officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. Following the service, she will be cremated. Burial will be at a later date at Forest Home Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Iowa (note: in Henry Co., IA).

Memorials may be made First Lutheran Church, Sunnybrook Living Care Center Activity Department or Bench for Calu Apartments. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Amy MEGRATH, 2273 Glasgow Rd., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Betty was born Oct. 7, 1947, in Burlington, Iowa, to Roger and Margaret (PENNEBAKER) GARRELS.

Betyt lived in the Jefferson County area most of her life and graduated from Fairfield High School Class of 1965. She worked for Telegroup in the billing department and also the switch board. Betty was a member of the First Lutheran Church and volunteered in the gift shop at the Jefferson County Hospital/JCHC. Betty liked to read, play cards and games. Most important to her was spending time with her family and friends.

Betty will be missed by her daughter, Amy (Paul) MEGRATH of Fairfield, Iowa; two granddaughters, Allison MEGRATH and Alexis MEGRATH; her siblings, Gary (Vickie) GARRELS of Davis City, Iowa, Dixie (Craig) PECK, Patty (Bill) RICHARDSON all of Fairfield and Gail (Judy) GARRELS of Molena, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Margaret GARRELS.
