AN OLD RESIDENT OF COUNTY DEAD
Mrs. H. J. SNOOK Passed Away at Daughter's Home in Rock Island

Mrs. H. J. SNOOK passed away last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. C. JAMESON, in Rock Island, Ill., according to a message received here by her son, Bert A. ENOOK (sic).

Mrs. SNOOK was born in Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 14, 1846. She came to Iowa at an early age, living on a farm near Richwoods until her marriage to Abner SNOOK in 1862, living most of her life in Fairfield or vicinity. She moved to Rock Island, Ill., to live with her daughter, Mrs. E. C. JAMESON, several years ago.

The remains accompanied by Arthur SNOOK and by Mr. and Mrs. E. C. JAMESON will arrive on the 10 oclock Rock Island train tomorrow morning. The funeral will be held from the home of Bert A. SNOOK, 305 West Jefferson street tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock. Rev. J. C. Carpenter will officiate at last rites.

Last Rites Held From the Home of Her Son, Bert A. SNOOK Yesterday at 2

Funeral services for Mrs. H. J. SNOOK, who died Sunday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. E. C. JAMESON at Rock Island, Ill., were held yesterday at the home of her son Bert SNOOK, 305 West Jefferson street. Rev. H. C. Carpenter officiated at the service. "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" was sung by Mrs. S. P. Williamson, with Mrs. Norvell Switzer accompanying her on the piano.

The pall bearers were grandsons: Robert FULTON, Harry FULTON, Wayne FULTON, Verne CAREY, Fred CAREY and one great grandson, Harold FULTON.

Those from away at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. E. C. JAMESON, Arthud (sic) SNOOK, Verne CAREY of Rock Island, Mr. and Mrs. Pearl FULTON of Selma, Robert FULTON and family of Webster City, Wayne FULTON, Mrs. J. H. Campbell of Des Moines, Mildred FULTON of Mercedes, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Rohrer and George Teller of Ottumwa and Ed SNOOK of Perlee.

… Miss Mildred FULTON of Mercedes, Tex., a trained nurse, who has been caring for her grandmother, Mrs. H. J. SNOOK, in Rock Island ouring (sic - during) her last illness, returned to that city last night, after attending the funeral here.
