Death of Mrs. FLINSPACH.

Mrs. Caroline FLINSPACH died at the home of a son, Martin FLINSPACH, near Perlee January 10th. She was born in Wurtemburg, Germany, May 26th, 1834, and came to America September 1st, 1855. The following year she became a resident of Jefferson county, and became the wife of Lawrence FLINSPACH April 14th, 1856. The husband died here September 5th, 1879, on the farm in Buchanan township on which their married life had been spent. They were the parents of fourteen children, nine sons and five daughters, eleven of whom survive the parents. They are M. C., F. L., G. A., E. C., F. T., R. C. FLINSPACH, Mrs. John DIERS and Mrs. John KANN of this county, Mrs. Thomas THOMPSON of Burlington, Mrs. Alex. GORDON of Central City, Neb., and Mrs. P. L. GORDON of Spokane, Wash. Mrs. FLINSPACH had been a member of the English Lutheran church of this city for many years. In the neighborhood where she had lived so long she was well known for her kind and charitable deeds and for her hospitality. Many friends whom she had made during her long residence here will deeply regret her death. Funeral services were held at the Richwoods M. E. church Sunday afternoon. They were conducted by Rev. W. Luther Bright of this city, assisted by Rev. T. S. Pool. The body was interred in the cemetery near the church, where other members of the family have been laid at rest.
