MRS. ELIZABETH DYER DIED LAST EVENING.

Mrs. Elizabeth J. DYER who has been critically ill at her home at 905 South Main street for the past six weeks, died last night at 8:45 o'clock.

Mrs. DYER was the daughter of Bartley and Elizabeth TRAVIS and was born in Illinois on March 30, 1833, and when seven years of age moved with her parents to Jefferson county. On Nov. 14, 1851, in Fairfield, she was united in marriage to Nimrod DYER, who passed away here January 11, 1911. To them were born seven children, two having preceeded (sic) their mother in death -- Mrs. Allie CAVINESS of Mt. Ayr and Sybbell DYER, of Fairfield. The following survive their mother: Mrs. Luella COOK of Graham, Mo., Mrs. Sadie LOE, of Almyra, Ark., J. W. DYER of Fairmont, Neb., Claude DYER of Denver, Col., and Miss Winnie DYER at home.

In early life she united with the Presbyterian church, but in later to the Methodist church at Richwoods. Many friends will extend their sympathy at this time.

The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 from the late residence, in charge of Rev. W. R. Keesey and the remains will be interred in the Richwoods cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth DYER

Mrs. Elizabeth J. DYER passed away at her home on South Main street last Thursday evening after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were held from the home Sabbath afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. R. Keesey of the M. E. church. Interment was made at Richwoods.

Mrs. DYER, who was the daughter of Bartley and Elizabeth TREVIS (sic - TRAVIS), was born in Illinois March 30, 1883. At the age of seven she came to this county with her parents and continued to make her home in this county until her death.

She was united in marriage with Nimrod DYER November 14, 1851. Seven children were born to this union, two of them, with Mr. DYER, preceding her in death. The surviving children are: Mrs. Luella COOK of Graham, Mo.; Mrs. Sadie LOE of Almyra, Ark.; I. W. of Fairmont, Neb.; Claude of Denver, Colo., and Miss Winnie at home.

Mrs. DYER united with the Presbyterian church in her youth but later became a member of the Methodist church at Richwoods. She was an estimable woman and leaves a large number of friends to mourn her death.
