Leah SCALPH, 55, of Fairfield, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Phipps officiating. Following the service, she will be cremated. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Cards and memorials may be mailed to Lynne SCALPH, 200 N. 28th St., Lot No.69, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Leah was born Aug. 12, 1964, in Burley, Idaho. She married Lynne Leonard SCALPH on Aug. 6, 1983.

For the last five years Leah worked as a para educator in the Fairfield school district. She loved all of her students. Leah liked cooking and every once in a while she would bake cakes for the neighbors. Some of her interests were crocheting, reading romance novels and collecting angels.

She will be missed by her husband, Lynne SCALPH of Fairfield; six children, Sheena L. (Brock) SCALPH-PETERSON of Hays, Kan., Timothy (Amanda) SCALPH of Bentley, Kan., Mershal Mari (Sebastian) SCALPH-FELIPE and Thomas Matthew SCALPH, both of Fairfield, Melisa (Mike) CRAWFORD of Winfield, Kan., and Scott (Angela) SCALPH of Modesto, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and her mom, Delores.

Leah was preceded in death by one brother at infancy.
