Douglas Eugene PEEBLER Jr., 40, of Loveland, Colo., passed away Oct. 26, 2019, after a massive heart attack. He was born May 19, 1979, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Doug and Sue PEEBLER. Doug graduated from Fairfield High School in 1998, then graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 2000 with an A.A.S. in machine technology. As a machinist for 17 years, Doug worked at Falco & H&H Molding in Fairfield, and was scheduled to graduate this coming May from Front Range Community College with another associate's degree in CAD design along with a 3D printing certificate and welding certification. Doug, lovingly referred to as "Bear," was truly a giant teddy bear of a man. Aside from his kind, easygoing, good nature, he was gifted with many talents, such as both manual and CNC machining, woodworking and extensive automotive and motorcycle knowledge. Doug loved music and guitars and was admired for his creativity and aptitude for making just about anything. He dearly loved his dogs and strongly supported raising awareness about puppy mills.

Doug is survived by his wife, Brooke; their three dogs, Sancho, Susie Q and Billy; brother, Dennis (Melanie) PEEBLER; nephews, Dallas and Justin PEEBLER of Fairfield; half brother, Doug (Kristie) ROHME of Bonaire, Ga,; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Jack and Aletha DROZ and Gene and Esther PEEBLER.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club in Fairfield, Iowa, on Saturday, Nov. 16. Friends and family may arrive at 11 a.m., and the memorial starts at 11:30 a.m., with a potluck meal to follow. Burial will be held at a later date at Brethren Cemetery.
