RANDALL JAY HUNTER
Mt. Pleasant

Randall Jay HUNTER, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, Sept, 2, 2019, at his home.

Randy was born on Oct. 2, 1953, at Fairfield, the son of Walter and Loretta (CARR) HUNTER. He graduated from Fairfield High School. Randy was united in marriage to Karen R. BROWN in 1973. Randy worked for Superior Cable and Vega Industries, and was employed by Kinney and Sons Excavating. He loved to build things with his hands; woodworking was his passion. He enjoyed fishing with his family and teaching his grandchildren to target shoot, spending time with his family and friends talking about old times and creating new memories, watching Westerns, traveling and exploring new things. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge.

Randy is survived by his children, Tadd Allen (LeAnn) HUNTER of Mt. Pleasant and Kimberly Ann (Tony) WAGENKNECHT of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Darren HUNTER, Brooklyn FRAISE, Griffin FRAISE and Emma WAGENKNECHT; his brothers, Jeff (Patricia) HUNTER of Mt. Pleasant and Monte (Elizabeth) HUNTER of Fairfield; his companion and best friend of 10 years, Kathie Bush of Mt. Pleasant; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, where family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home. Following the services, the family invites everyone to the Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge for a time of fellowship.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
