RONALD SCOTT KHARE
Fairfield

Ronald Scott KHARE was born in New York, August of 1947. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 21st, 2019.

Ron was preceded in his passing by his mother Lydia, his father Herb, and his brother Herb. He is survived by his wife Phyllis (married in 1979), his daughter Celestial (and her husband West and daughter Prana), his son Ron (and his son Archer), and his sister Maria Rose.

In 1965, at the age of 17, Ron joined the United States Marine Corps. He earned the rank of Sergeant, E-5 within 3 years.

He became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation in April 1971. He taught hundreds of people in Florida, California, New York, and Maryland. He especially treasured his time teaching Vietnam Vets and being a contact for new Veterans arriving at MUM.

Ron lived in Fairfield most of his life having attended MUM (then MIU) and attaining a Masters in Education (1982), and a Masters in Psychology (1998). He started with a B.A. in Psychology for the University of South Florida (1975). His Master's thesis was the T M Technique as a Proposed Modality of Treatment for Vietnam Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

This thesis was used as a basis for many scientific studies and grants during the last few decades.

He helped found the first MSAE Cub Scout Den and Boy Scout Troop. And he was very proud that his son, Ron KHARE, became MSAE's first Eagle Scout under his guidance.

During the many decades he lived in Fairfield, he worked for The Beckley Group, Creative Glassworks, International Trading Group, US Law News, and for almost a total of 20 years he was the manager of Americus Diamond.

Ron was dubbed by his wife as the unofficial Mayor of Fairfield, as he seemed to know everyone from all walks of life. He genuinely felt to wave and smile at everyone everywhere he went. His personal motto "Be kind to everyone - and help them if you can" was his sole mission for the last few years and he achieved this beautifully.

An open Celebration of Life for Ron was held Sunday, July 28th in the afternoon at his Fairfield home on N. B St.
