LibertyvilleDavid Kirk GLASS, age 60 of Libertyville, passed away June 24, 2019, at his home.
Visitation for family & friends will be 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Behner Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the family. Cards and memorials may be mailed to David Cory GLASS, 3349 Liberty Road South, Apt. 204, Salem, OR 97302.
David was born July 24, 1958, in Fairfield, Iowa to Robert and Marilyn (PRUDEN) GLASS. He married Penny CRABLE on August 8, 1980, in Fairfield, they had a son, David "Cory", in 1984 and built a home and two successful businesses together. Penny passed away April 20, 2003.
David graduated from Fairfield High School. He took the Motorcycle Mechanic Program through Scott Community College. David enjoyed a variety of activities throughout his life; including racing motocross, playing softball, fishing, and being outdoors with his family and pets. He was also a lifelong Cubs and Hawkeye fan. David worked at the family business with his father and brothers at "Bob's Texaco" for many years. He then became the owner and operator of Dave's Auto Shop, and later worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts.
David will be missed by his son, Cory (Rachel) GLASS of Salem, OR; mother, Marilyn GLASS of Fairfield; siblings, Dan (Deb) GLASS of North Liberty, Bob (Dale) GLASS and Lani GLASS both of Libertyville; many nieces and nephews; and his two cats, Frankie and Louie.
David was preceded in death by his father Robert and his wife Penny.
