HOWARD "JUNIOR" SNYDER
Richland

Howard 'Junior' SNYDER, 88, of Richland, died early Monday, June 23, 2019, at Keota Health Care Center in Keota (note: in Keokuk Co., IA). He was born January 26, 1931, in Washington to Howard Dwight and Bessie Gertrude MOODY SNYDER.

Junior graduated from Richland High School in 1948 and married Ann HOEKSTRA in Richland on August 18, 1958. He farmed all of his life and worked for Gould Furniture Store for several years. Junior was a U. S. Army Veteran and served in Korea during the Korean War (sic - Korean Conflict).

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 504, Richland and of Prairieview United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Ann of Richland and 4 sons: David SNYDER (Sue) of Sandy Utah, Dan SNYDER (Mary) Altoona, John SNYDER of Iowa City and Jamie SNYDER (Michelle) of Richland, 8 grandchildren and sister-in-Law, Marsha SNYDER of Burlington. Junior was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joyce SCHIPPERS and one brother, Ron SNYDER. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday June 29, 2019, at Prairieview United Methodist Church with Rev. Steven Lamb officiating.

Burial will be inRichland Friends (sic) Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at the church 5-7 P.M. Friday afternoon. Memorials for Prairieview United Methodist Church may be left at the church or mailed to the family at: 402 Kelleff Street, Richland, Iowa 52585. Gould Funeral Home of Richland is in charge of arrangements.
