Tucumcari, NMJane A. STEPHENSON went home on May 29, 2019 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She was born to James and Jane NORDSTROM in Iowa City, Iowa on October 26, 1950.
She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1968 and attended Indian Hills Community College. Janie married Richard (Rick) R. STEPHENSON on May 29, 1980 in Fairfield, Iowa. She worked as a caregiver to the elderly and mentally handicapped in Colorado and New Mexico for most of her life.
Janie is survived by her husband, three children, Todd NORDSTROM (and Wendy), Chad STEPHENSON (and Mary Grace) and Alisha STRACK (and Blake) and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She is also survived by her sister Donna (and Warren) PEARSON and two nephews, James (and Page) SCOVEL and Charles PEARSON. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
