Leslie A. ZICKEFOOSE, 75, of rural Brighton, died late Saturday May 11, 2019, at his home following a brief bout with cancer. Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Leslie ZICKEFOOSE, 75, of Brighton, died late Saturday May 11, 2019, at his home. He was born June 29, 1943, in Brighton to William and Bessie (NEFF) ZICKEFOOSE. Les graduated from Brighton High School in 1961 and married Joelyn TRIER on January 17, 1964. He worked at Fairfield Engineering Company for many years, ending his career there as plant manager when it closed.

Les is survived by his wife, Joelyn, three daughters: Lori (Kevin) DICE, Washington, carol (Brian) LUCKEY, Hannibal, MO and Teresa (Mike) JOHNSON, Bourbonnais, IL, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Jean DUNBAR, Washington and Darlene REIGHARD, Clever, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Leonard and Gail ZICKEFOOSE and 2 sisters: Olletha WATERHOUSE and June RICKS.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday May 17, 2019, at Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery near Wayland (note: in Henry Co., IA). No visitation is planned. Memorials for the Round Prairie Baptist Church building fund may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 1540 280th Street, brighton, IA 52540 (sic). Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is assisting the family.
