Front PageDAVID ROTH DIED AT HEDRICK TO DAY
Funeral Services Held From Butlers' Undertaking Parlors TomorrowDavid ROTH, 53 East Stone, died this morning about five oclock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary NAFZIGER in Hedrick, where he had gone on a few days' visit Monday afternoon. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy Tuesday night, which was the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held at Hedrick tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 oclock and then the remains will be brought to this city and taken to the F. E. Butler funeral parlors where the body will lie in state from 4 until 4:30 oclock after which short services will be held in charge of Dr. C. L. Tennant. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. ROTH was about 68 years of age and he has made Fairfield his home for many years. His wife and only daughter Nina, were killed in a runaway accident a number of years ago (sic - in 1908). He is survived by three sisters and one brother: Mrs. NAFZIGER of Hedrick, Mrs. Katie CARPER and Mrs. John LYONS of Trenton and Peter ROTH of Ottumwa.
