Shirley Ann PARKER, 83, of rural Fairfield, died Wednesday April 10, 2019, at University Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). She was born June 30, 1935, in Jefferson County to Florence KIRCHNER SCHEIDEL. She attended Fairfield Schoolos. Shirley married William H. PARKER May 9, 1952, in California, MO. She was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aid (sic - aide) at Parkview and Nelson nursing homes, she was also an Avon representative for years.

Shirley is survived by her husband Bill, one daughter Teressa Kay PARKER, Fairfield, 4 sons: Jerry (Tammy) PARKER, William PARKER and Timothy PARKER, all of Des Moines and Steven PARKER, Fairfield, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Pauline BOUGHNER and brother Howard SCHIEDEL (sic).

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday April 15, 2019, at the Richland United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Schoepf officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery (note: in Keokuk Co., IA). Visitation with the family will be 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. Sunday April 14, 2019, at Gould Funeral Home in Richland. Memorials for St. Jude's Children Hospital may be left at the funeral home, church or mailed to the family at 2066 115th, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.
