Daniel G. SHEPHERD, 76, of Tingley, passed from this life on April 4. 2019. Funeral services were held Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr. Pastor Dwayne Henrichs, Pastor Bill Armstrong and Paul Dykstra will officiate the services. Burial was in the Tingley Cemetery north of Tingley, Iowa (note: in Ringgold Co., IA). Military honors will be done by American Legion Ringgold Post 172 and the Naval Honor Guard. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.com.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, George & Audrey SHEPHERD; his sisters Frances JONES and Gretta Sue SHEPHERD SCHLEBACH; a younger brother, Terry Mack, who ultimately died of complications from Agent Orange having served in Vietnam with the Air Force, and nephew Brian ENGLE.

He is survived by his wife, Phylis May; son Jeffrey Daniel; daughter Robin Rochelle NORDHUES and husband David Paul and granddaughters Emilie Elizabeth & Abigail May; two sisters Judy SHEPHERD; Dixie SHEPHERD; sisters-in-law Doris WEBER, Sharon SWIGART & husband Dennis, Clenna "Roan" SHEPHERD multiple cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
