Freddie M. JACKSON 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Milton F. JACKSON, Sr.

Service: 11:00 a.m., April 13, 2019 at Israel of God's Church (W.H.A.), 2135 Fox Hill Dr., Indianapolis with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Interment at:Crown Hill Cemetery (note: in Indianapolis, IN).

Note: Crown Hill Funeral Home's website, in its obituary for Freddie Mae HEARNS JACKSON, notes that she was born in Collierville, TN, on February 20, 1940, to Prince and Zullar DAVIS HEARNS. She was a teacher, earning her degree at Parsons College in Fairfield and teaching in the Fairfield School District and later in Indianapolis schools, and was active in various sports both in high school and in college. She married the late Milton JACKSON, Sr., in Rockford, IL, and they were together for 52 years, having seven children: Angela (Melvin) MELLERSON, Deacon Milton (Darla) JACKSON, Jr., Deacon Terrance (Kellye) JACKSON, Sheila JACKSON, Deacon Timothy (Marion) JACKSON, Reverend Anthony (Charae) JACKSON, and Darlene GILBERT. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister Ella JONES; aunts Dorothy GRAY and Eugenia DABNER, and many nephews, nieces, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Prince HEARNS, Jr.. Services were in Indianapolis, IN, and she was laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
