Services for John E. GUCK, 68, who passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA), will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 30 at the Indianola Church of Christ with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

He will be greatly missed for his devotion to both his faith and his family.

Note: John's obituary on the Overton Funeral Home website notes that he was born March 1, 1951, the son of Edward John and Sharon Lee (McLAUGHLIN) GUCK. In 1975 he married Katharina Esther LOGSDON, and they had six children: Heather GUCK, Holly (Jason) COCHRAN, Heidi (Eric) HOLSAPPLE, Hope (Matthew) SPIES, Hannah GUCK, and Jacob (Rebekah) GUCK; he is further survived by ten grandchildren, his mother, Sharon EVANS, and his brother, David GUCK. Preceding him were his father, Edward, and brother, David.
