Leonard Lawrence MOSINSKI was born on May 8, 1937 near Fairfield, IA to Chester and Emilia MOSINSKI.

Leonard attended K-8 school at Buchanan #3 in rural Jefferson County and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Coe Ann BLOUGH, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, IA on November 14, 1964. They had four children. They were lifelong members of St. Mary Catholic Church where Leonard served as an usher for over 50 years.

Leonard farmed for many years in the Fairfield area. He then turned his talent to carpentry. He brought joy to many through his vision to transform their homes. It was often said when others said it couldn't be done, he would pause, smile and say, "We can do that." Leonard spent a lot of time at Polishville working on remodel projects. He also built the Polishville Museum addition. Many hours were volunteered at St. Mary Catholic Church whenever a carpenter was needed.

Leonard also enjoyed raising cattle. The hours spent with the cows and their Grandpa Mo instilled a love of animals and nature in his grandchildren. His grandchildren have fond memories of 4-wheeler rides, discovering where the mama cows hid their babies, calling, feeding and counting cows from the feed bunks.

Leonard is a past member of St. Mary Knights of Columbus, St. Mary Parish Council, Young Farmers, the Fairfield Elks and the Fairfield Lions Club. He enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair each year. Family memories include his love of Pioneer Hall where he would explain each piece of machinery and agricultural memorabilia, camping at the fair with family, tractor pulls and walking through displays of restored farm equipment. Leonard also had a keen interest in aviation, and as a young man dreamed of learning to fly. Although family circumstances changed his career options, his interest in aviation never changed. He enjoyed attending airshows, watching historical aviation programs and reading "Flying" magazine. Above all, he loved to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He travelled many miles to watch his children and grandchildren participate in sports and school activities.

Leonard is survived by his wife Coe Ann, their four children, David (Josie) MOSINSKI of Fairfield, IA; Donald (Jennifer) MOSINSKI of Audubon, IA; Susan (Randy) HERVEY of Keosauqua, IA and Sharon (Al) VANDEHOEF of Hastings, MN; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; two sisters, Rose SCHILLERSTROM and Mary (Larry) SOBASKI; brother Harold MOSINSKI, sister-in-law Shirley MOSINSKI, brother-in-law Rich BLOUGH and sister-in-law Carol (Larry) HOOTMAN. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, brother-in-law Jerry, and sister-in-law Roberta.

Family and friends know that the Lord told Leonard "Well Done" and look forward to seeing him again.
