Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church. Cards and memorials may be mailed to: Jon FUNKHOUSER, 3409 W. Van Buren Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Pat was born April 13, 1935, to Floyd and Wanda (BARKER) SHEETS in Keosauqua. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1952 and from Parsons College in 1956 with a BA in music. She taught music at Richardson Elementary School in Fort Madison, where she met her husband, Tom, whom she married September 17, 1961. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before he passed away in November of last year.

Pat loved music and was devoted to her family. It was important to her to be able to stay at home with her kids and still share her love for music. She did this by teaching piano lessons after school. Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was organist and accompanist for 20 years, and also a Bell Choir director. Pat was a member and past president of PEO and UMW, and belonged to the Ruth Circle. She was also a wonderful seamstress, making many clothes for her kids, grandkids, and their dolls.

Left to share Pat's memories are her 3 children, Jon (Kim) FUNKHOUSER of Fairfield, Alicia (Craig) ARDOIN of Ames, and Joy (John) LOUK of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren, Joanna (fiancé, Gabe Esser), Rachel, and Jeremiah FUNKHOUSER, Jordan (Whitney) FUNKHOUSER, Daman (Nawal) ARDOIN, Jasmine (Corey) CHURCH, and Maia ARDOIN, Kaitlyn (Dana) BOHAN, Ann, and Mara LOUK; 5 great grandchildren, Gracyn, Judah, Rylan, Charlie, and Alonzo; and one brother, James (Marilyn) SHEETS and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and her parents, Floyd and Wanda SHEETS.

On-line condolences may be made to the family at behnerfh.com.
