Sue Ellen SHOBE, 52, of Oskaloosa, IA and formerly of Batavia, IA passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, IA. As were her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Batavia United Methodist Church in Batavia, IA with Pastor Jon Disburg officiating.

Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions in Sue's honor may be directed to the family. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com.

Sue Ellen SHOBE was born April 22, 1966 in Mt. Pleasant, IA to Theodore Kirk and Judith Ann WALKER HULL. She grew up in Batavia, IA and attended Cardinal Community High School, graduating with the class of 1984. She earned her Registry in Respiratory Therapy through California College of Health Sciences and went on to work at hospitals in Albia, Ottumwa, and Des Moines IA, as well as Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska.

She was an accomplished singer in school and enjoyed music throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, creating art - jewelry and craft projects, and was a wonderful cook. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, Theodore HULL.

Left to share her story is her mother, Judith HULL of Batavia, IA; four sons, Nathaniel SHOBE, Noah SHOBE, Jeremiah SHOBE, and Jesse SHOBE; one brother, Eugene Wayne HULL of Arlington, IA; one granddaughter, Alexis SHOBE, as well as many extended family and friends.
