Marjorie Kathleen TENINTY was born at the family home in Wapello County on September 20, 1936 to Donald and Alice JOHANSMEIER HUMBLE. She attended school in Batavia, IA and began working at an early age to help support the family. In her early years she flushed mink for her uncles; "Mutt and Jigs" receiving twenty-five cents per mink.

She was known as the fastest in the "Berg" area, flushing fifty mink a day. On December 31, 1953 in Ottumwa, IA Marjorie married the love of her life, Donald TENINTY. They would spend the next 64 years together as husband and wife. They became loving parents to two children, Jody and Tony. As the two raised their family, Marjorie worked together with Don as a bookkeeper for the family business at Don's Used Cars. She managed to hold down the fort there, as well as at home. When Marjorie had some time to herself, she would retreat to the kitchen where she loved to spend time baking for friends and family.

She was especially known for her peach schnapps cake and for "burning everything to perfection". Marjorie was also a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Batavia. She had a great sense of humor that was only surpassed by her love for her family and friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald HUMBLE and Alice JOHANSMEIER SOMMER; her step-father, Paul SOMMER, one step-brother, Delbert SOMMER and a sister-in-law, Garnet HESTON.

Left to honor her memory is her loving husband, Don TENINTY of Batavia, IA, two children, Jody (Gary) TRENARY of Liberal, MO and Tony (Carrie) TENINTY of Eldon, IA; six grandchildren, BJ MEDFORD, Donny TENINTY, Chloe TENINTY, Hannah TRENARY, Kara TRENARY, and Sean TRENARY; two sisters, Patricia (Fred) FLIGG of Atkins, IA and Cheryl (Reed) VASS of Eldon, IA; three brothers, Richard (Denise) HUMBLE of Pratt, KS, Larry (Linda) HUMBLE of Batavia, IA and Ellis (Kathy) HUMBLE of Agency, IA; two step-sisters, Marlys SMITH of Batavia and Loretta PEEBLER of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister-in-law, Helen (Leo) BLOMME, as well as many extended family and friends.
