Mrs. Constance SHELANGOSKI
Following eight days of illness and of paralysis, Mrs. Constance SHELANGOSKI answered the call of death last Thursday. The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. P. Seidel from the Polishville St. Mary's Catholic church Saturday at nine in the morning.
Mrs. SHELANGOSKI was born in the province of Posen, Dobrozyca, Poland, Feb. 18, 1867 so that she had attained the age of 71 years, 8 months and 2 days. She came to America about 50 years ago and was married to Anthon SHELANGOSKI soon after her arrival. They immediately made their home on the farm here (sic - where) she died, and on which her whole life was spent.
Mr. SHELANGOSKI passed away about fifteen years ago (sic - in 1923). One sister, Mrs. Lucas ZAHARRIS and two children Walter and Stanislaus (Nich) preceded her in death.
Mrs. SHELANGOSKI is survived by the following children: Steve, Salina; Mrs. Aaron HOBBS, Ottumwa; Bern, Mt. Pleasant; Vincent, E. Pleasant Plain; Alex, at home; Mrs. Mary HULL, Ottumwa; Albert, Joe, Agnes and Celesta at home. Also the following stepchildren: Mrs. Josephine SHRACH, Moline; Peter, Brighton; Frank, Washington, Mrs. Victoria MELINSKI, Washington; Leo, Washington and Ignatius of Fairfield. One sister, Mrs. John ZELINSKI of Brighton, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
