DEATHS

MIKE POLIS

Mike POLIS passed away yesterday at the home of his son I. A. POLIS in Mitchell, S. D. The body was taken to Brighton this afternoon.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock from the St. Mary's church at Pleasant Plain.

He is the grandfather of Mrs. Clarence KESSEL of this city.

DEATHS

MIKE PAULUS

Funeral services were held on Thursday morning in the Catholic church in East Pleasant Plain for Mike PAULUS, 94, who died on Wednesday morning in Mitchell South Dakota, in the home of his son I. A. PAULUS. A son, Tom PAULUS, lives in Fairfield.

Mr. PAULUS was born in Germany and was a veteran of the Franco-Prussian War. He made his home on a farm in the Brighton community many years after coming to this country and five years ago went to South Dakota to live. His wife died 17 years ago.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters, I. A. PAULUS of Mitchell, S. D., Mrs. Frank KASKA, of Phillips, S.D., Mrs. Geo. DRISH of Brighton, Mrs. Mert BICKFORD and Andy PAULUS of Fairfield and John PAULUS of Chicago.
