Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Julia BOROSKI (sic - BORKOSKI)

BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Mrs. Julia BORKOSKI, 88, died yesterday at 10:45 a.m. in Mercy hospital at Iowa City following surgery on her hip which was broken in a fall at her home Sunday.

The body was brought to the Omar Hoskins funeral home at Brighton and taken to her home this afternoon. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. today and funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Polish Catholic church southwest of Brighton. The Rev. Paul C. Wetzstein of East Pleasant Plain will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. BORKOSKI, the former Julia KISEZAMOSKI (sic - KNENOSKI in the 1925 Census), was born in Poland July 25, 1865, and came with her parents to Geneseo, Ill., at the age of six. She married Alexander BORKOSKI in November, 1882, at LaSalle, Ill. They came to Iowa in 1886 and settled on the farm where Mrs. BORKOSKI spent the rest of her life. Her husband died May 16, 1935 (sic - May 7, 1935).

Survivors are three sons, Prody and Kosmer at home and Roman who lives on a farm nearby; one daughter, Clara, also at home, and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
