OTTO J. STALDER

BRIGHTON -- Otto J. STALDER, 65, a resident of Pleasant Plain for the last three years, died Oct. 2, at 2:30 a.m., in Washington County hospital, Washington. Death terminated a long period of declining health.

STALDER was the son of John and Nadaline SHUMAKER STALDER, and was born in Switzerland on Nov. 20, 1887. The family came to the United States 61 years ago, and settled near Wayland. STALDER spent the remainder of his life in Henry, Jefferson and Washington counties.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters: Joseph STALDER, Pleasant Plain; Amil STALDER and Mrs. Leah KAUFFMAN, both of Washington, and Mrs. Emma SHELANGOSKI, of Pleasant Plain.

One brother is dead.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic church of East Pleasant Plain at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Father Paul Wetzstein will officiate, and burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.
