Monroeville, PAThelma Louise (LYONS) DUKER, age 91, of Monroeville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
A graveside service will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery, 302nd Ave, Fort Madison, Iowa (north of town) Saturday, Sept 29 at 11:00 AM; luncheon to follow at The McElhinney House, 300 N. Court St. in Fairfield, Iowa at 2:30 PM.
Thelma was born on Feb. 19, 1927 to Dale and Lucille LYONS, in Fairfield, Iowa. She married George H. DUKER on Aug 30, 1947 in Fort Madison. She was preceded in passing by her husband George, brother Dick LYONS (Fairfield) sister Betty GRAY (Fairfield) and nephew Jack GRAY (Rock Island). She is survived by her brother Bill LYONS (Fairfield).
Fond memories of Thelma will be carried forward by her children: Gregory (Rogers, AR), Stephen (Manitou Springs, CO), Georgia (Monroeville, PA) and Richard (Harrisburg, PA); grandchildren: Kathryn, Joanna, Eric, Alexander, Lauren, Christina, Mark, Emily, Jack and Max; greatgrandchildren: Piper, Ayden, Audrey, Liam, Madelyn and Maxwell; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
