BRIGHTON -- John J. (Jack) PECK, 41, Brighton, died early this morning at his home in Brighton.
County officers attributed his death to suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. His body was found in his car in front of his home by a friend.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joesph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Robert Busher officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. A memorial has been established.
The son of Joseph L. and Maxine SUPALLA PECK, he was born Oct. 27, 1942 in Jefferson County.
He lived his entire life in the Brighton-Pleasant Plain area. A graduate of Pleasant Plain High School, he served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was employed at Crane Company in Washington.
He is survived by his mother, Maxine PECK, Fairfield; and three sisters and five brothers, Ann McNEW, Cresco; Janet LEDGER, East Pleasant Plain; Linda NAUMANN, Charles City; Ronald and Charles, both of Montezuma; Fred, Houston, Texas; Philip, Flint, Mich.; and Gary, Belle Plaine; and his grandmother, Emma SUPALLA, Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his father April 12, 1982.
