G. KURTZ dies suddenly

BRIGHTON -- George F. KURTZ, 77, of Brighton, died suddenly Wednesday while visiting in San Francisco, Calif.

The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. A funeral Mass will be conducted by the Rev. Louis Leonhardt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in E. Pleasant Plain. Burial will be in Tampa, Fla.

KURTZ was born Nov. 13, 1903, the son of Walter and Mary BUREKER KURTZ. He married Virginia SCHULTZ, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Garold of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Justine SCHWARTZROCK of Minneapolis, Minn.; nine grandchildren and a brother, Robert KURTZ of Brighton. A son and three brothers preceded him in death.

KURTZ had farmed all his adult life in the Brighton area until retiring a few years ago and moving into Brighton.
