Pamela Ellen MICHAEL was born April 28, 1944 in Moline, IL to Printis and Ora "Red" RAGER LOOMIS. Pamela spent her early years growing up in Eldon and Selma where she attended Cardinal High School. She moved to rural Batavia where she cared for and supported her two children, Kelly and Travis. In 1989 Pam married Bill MICHAEL and welcomed him to the family. As the children grew older, Pam reentered the workforce as a paraprofessional for the Cardinal Community School District.

She then went on to be the librarian for the local Area Education Agency where she was a dedicated employee until her retirement in 2006. Shorty (sic) after her retirement Bill passed away and Pam found comfort in her children and grandchildren. She was known for her dedication to cleaning and her profound independence. She enjoyed being outside where she could care for her flowers and her lawn but would step away from the outside work for a day of shopping or some quiet time with her embroidery. Her true joy was spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Michael "PeeWee" LOOMIS, Annie HEMM, and Candace LOOMIS. Left to share her story are her children, Kelly (Tim) STOUT of Des Moines, IA and Travis (Tiffani) WHEELDON of Keosauqua, IA; two grandchildren, Ellee and Everlee WHEELDON; two siblings, George (Karen) LOOMIS of Florida and Pat (Steve) CANNY of Ottumwa, IA as well as many extended family and friends.
