KeosauquaCarolyn R. BENTZINGER passed away peacefully on June 13, 2018 at the Keosauqua Healthcare Center (note: in Van Buren Co., IA). She was born on Jun 9 (sic), 1935 in Van Buren County, Iowa to Kelly and Josie (CASS) YARNELL.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 18th beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, Iowa. Memorials can be made to the Lebonon (sic - Lebanon) Cemetery.
She graduated from Keosauqua High School Class of 1953. Carolyn married Walter BENTZINGER on August 19, 1962. She started working for the Farm and Home Administration and worked there many years before retiring December 30, 2000.
Carolyn loved being social and spending time with friends and family, watching old movies, listening to music and dancing. She had a knack for telling jokes. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and loving family.
She is survived by a daughter, Delilah (Doug) ARCHIBALD of Naples, Florida; two sons, Randy (Lisa) BENTZINGER of Keosauqua,Iowa and Kevin (Dawn) BENTZINGER of Keosauqua, Iowa; three granddaughters, Hayley (Kirby) CASS of Fairfield, Iowa and Carly (Brandon) SMITH of Keosauqua,Iowa, Brooke (Scott) CLINGAN of Ankeny; a grandson, Carson McINTOSH of Keosauqua, Iowa; and four great grandchildren, Clae, Lydia, Nadia and Analise CASS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of twenty-three years, Walter.
