DORIS CUMMINGS
Ottumwa

Doris Ilene CUMMINGS, 89, of #1 Pennsylvania Place, died at 8:25 p.m. March 25, 2018 at Vista Woods Care Center.

She was born March 13, 1929 in New London, IA to Elmer and Maxine TUCKER LEE. She married William "Bill" CUMMINGS on June 24, 1951.

Doris was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and had served as Deputy Recorder for Henry County.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa, and had been a member of P.E.O Chapter IN in Ottumwa and of the Research Club in Centerville.

Surviving is her husband, Bill; two sisters, Merna MILLER and Laurene SPROTT both of Mt. Pleasant; 9 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lavone EDWARDS and a nephew.

Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Vista Woods Care Center Activity Fund.

Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa is in charge of arrangements.
