OBITUARY. On Thursday morning, Nov. 30th, of Pulmonary Consumption, in the 55th year of his age, died John T. Shuffleton, after a lingering illness. Mr. Shuffleton was born in England in 1811; emigrated to Iowa in 1844, and settled in Fairfield, where he continued to reside until 1857, after which he retired to his farm, some three miles north of Fairfield. He was one of our most industrious and useful citizens, and as a husband, father and neighbor, was exemplary. He was a man of general information, possessed a high sense of honor and was much esteemed by his acquaintances for this sterling integrity and general ability.....
