Mildred I. INGALLS was born January 6, 1925 in Lee County, IA to Raymond and Nellie RILEY DOROTHY. She grew up near Stockport, IA where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1943. Mildred was united in marriage to Lloyd INGALLS on June 25, 1944 in Fairfield, IA. They soon began their family and became loving parents to three children: Donna, Pamela, and Timothy Mark. Mildred loved her job as homemaker and mother.

As the children grew older, Mildred entered the workforce. She began working for Universal Producing and the Fairfield Glove Factory. Mildred spent much of her free time on quilting, sewing, and needle work. It was a hobby that turned into a passion and led to many beautiful pieces. Mildred always held close to her faith and was an active member of the Suburban Heights Baptist Church for many years.

She was a mentor to many, and always set a good example for other members of the church. Mildred grew up in a generation that worked hard and held close to what they were given. She continued this throughout her life, and always did so with dignity and class. She was a loving woman with a tender heart, who will be missed by her family and the many who called her friend.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Lloyd INGALLS (1998), and her infant son, Timothy Mark.

Left to honor her memory are her daughters, Donna (Jerry) HICKENBOTTOM of Ottumwa, IA and Pamela (Robert) LEMMON of Kittanning, PA; one granddaughter, Jaime (Theron) ARBALLO and their children, Corbin, Myles, Hannah, Charlie, and Isaiah; one grandson, Matthew LEMMON; an adopted granddaughter, Rachel PARKER; one brother, Vern (Carolyn) DOROTHY; three half-brothers, Gale (Judy) DOROTHY, Dale (Glenna) DOROTHY, and Junior CONNER; four half-sisters, Esther ALEXANDER, Barb COX, Mary DODD, and Evelyn ERICKSON, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.
