DEATH OF MRS. ROBERT WATERS. ELIZABETH TILSON, wife of ROBERT WATERS, of this city….died Monday evening. Was a daughter of the late JOSEPH TILSON and was born in Stanton, Leicestershire, England, Nov. 8, 1832. With her parents she came to the United States in 1842, and located in New Jersey. The family removed to Ohio in 1847, where she was married to ELLIS B. JONES Apr. 8, 1852. With her husband she came to Fairfield in Sept. 1854. Four children were born of this marriage, two of whom are now living. MR. JONES died at Vicksburg, Miss., July 2d, 1863, while a soldier of the 19th Iowa Infantry. MRS. JONES was united in marriage with ROBERT WATERS Dec. 31st 1871. One child, a daughter, was born to them, and died at the age of five years. MRS. WATERS a member of the Congregational Church for more than thirty years…Body will be interred in the City Cemetery this afternoon…
